If you are a beginner to boxing, please sign up for the 30-minute Demo Boxing Class on Wednesday at 5:30pm. If you have never boxed before, this is where you want to start out. If you have some boxing experience, you can do your free trial for any available classes. Gloves are available for rent for $10/hr.

best boxing gym in the city. Its been around for 15yrs or more. Has plenty of beginners training and of course the pro's are guided by the man himself RG. Huge gym with lots of bags, full ring and work out equipment.

Update to the review: It is not up to other reviewers to comment on other people’s reviews, specially when their point is that parents should not be involved with their children’s activity or coaching. The reviews are reflection of people’s experiences. The reviewers must also refrain from talking about events that they do not have any knowledge of. The issue was and is very simple. A simple comment about getting help for a child should not have had the coach become so disrespectful, angry, rude and make a scene in front of other children and should have been handled in a professional, mature and calm manner or the comment should not have elicited any reactions at all. I would not put much weight behind reviewers who are new and got a free class.My son was a member at this club. I asked the coach to help my son. The coach become very disrespectful and told me “I should not tell him how to do his job” and when I tried to calm him down he told me to “get out of his face” and continued to be disrespectful towards me and did not stop yelling and screaming. At one point he challenged the parent (me) to “get into the ring”. Clearly trying to get into a physical altercation. Also, when the students ask any questions the coach told them that they could go home if they did not like it and they should not have come to the GYM to begin with and they are not there to play games. These kids are aged under 12. I immediately cancelled my son’s membership. I was approached by another parent who told me that they were shocked at the coach’s behavior and would not consider sending their sons to this GYM. Note to the Owner: I hope you do not come up with some excuse to defend your coach.

Updated Review:Don’t be fooled by the one star reviews.Coaches shouldn’t have to tell parents to mind themselves when teaching their students/athletes. If you sign your child up for a class sit on the sidelines and let the coach teach. Period.All the coaches at Grant are awesome! Our kids don’t need soft coaching when it comes to learning self defence.My family is new to Grant, we signed our one son up for classes, Nate was awesome with him. Our youngest was watching and was asked to join in, guess who is now signed up too! In our time there we met a lot of team, such a great and welcoming group of people. My husband also signed up, I will be taking a free class, it’s great that they offer a free trail for everyone. *Plus with the premium package you get one free pass a month for a friend.*Definitely worth taking a free class and taking the time to talk to someone from the team, they’ll make it work for you and your family.

I’m a husband and dad with a demanding job and was looking for a fun way to get in better shape—both physically and mentally. I’ve wanted to learn boxing for years and came in as a complete beginner after calling ahead to confirm I could try a class.I expected a boxing gym to be intense, direct, and even aggressive—but not disrespectful. Unfortunately, the coach crossed that line. He clearly had a chip on his shoulder. While I don’t doubt he knows his stuff as a boxer, he was a terrible teacher—made worse by a poor attitude and a complete lack of basic respect.As I struggled through my first class, he repeatedly accused me of not paying attention and claimed I had an “attitude.” He made these comments in front of other participants.I made it clear I was there to learn and deserved respect. The manager stepped in and was professional and respectful, which I appreciated.Ultimately, I left early. It was a terrible experience because of the coach. Hopefully, this coach is an anomaly in terms of the overall professionalism of the gym.

I love working out here. The boxing classes are much more interesting and engaging than going to standard gyms to use equipment.Honestly, the only things that would make my experience better are living closer and having more class times to accommodate my unusual work schedule.Edit: They've recently introduced a new grading system to measure progress, kind of like Eastern martial arts' coloured belt systems. There are live boxing events held here that are fun to attend.

Amazing boxing gym! The trainers are honestly the best he really pays attention, notices exactly what you need to work on, and helps you improve every session. The gym provides all the equipment you need, and you can also purchase gear there at very reasonable prices. The location is great with plenty of parking, which makes it super convenient. Everyone at the gym is welcoming and supportive, and the workouts are a great mix of technique, conditioning, and teamwork. You never feel shy, awkward, or lost whether you’re new or experienced, you feel included and motivated. Monthly membership there is always deals and good pricing compared to others.

While boxing lessons are pretty good their follow-up on merch orders , updates and managing client expectations leaves much to be desired. So if you are just interested in straight up boxing lessons, and find the location convenient you should be ok. Just temper your expectations as did I.

Was greeted by the staff who showed me around the facility.Grant asked about my experience and given I never boxed or did any martial arts in the past, he set me up with a vet boxer who shows me proper posture, footing and punches.Grant then set me up with a fellow member who has been training for years and together worked on combinations and technique.Never boxed before and didn't know what to expect, but the intro class did not leave me feeling bad about myself and I was able to keep up with it.

I was a bit nervous and intimidated to train at Grant MMA, but after my first few sessions I couldn't wait to come back.The coaches are highly knowledgeable and experienced, each one has a unique approach. They focus on real boxing fundamentals, they genuinely care about your growth and make sure you are improving every session. Me and my daughter (7) joined Grants in November 2024. I still remember my first time calling Grants Gym, RG picked up and I asked If I’m able to attend the 1 pm class and if me being completely new to boxing AND 32 would be okay, RG encouraged me to come in and that I was still young and able to learn anything I put my mind to. Just from that first initial phone call I already had great vibes. Joining Grants has been such an amazing experience for both me and my daughter.
