Grants MMA will be reopening its doors starting July 19th.

Boxing Classes will run Monday to Friday from 1pm – 2pm / 6pm – 7pm.

Muay Thai Classes will run Monday to Friday from 7pm – 8pm.

Masks are required when entering and exiting the gym and a 2 meters social distancing protocol applies while working out.

We are offering a new special membership for $300+HST which includes 3 months UNLIMITED classes. Call or visit us to sign up today.

We at Grant MMA Gym have reviewed the Ontario Government’s COVID-19 Stage 3 information, and are anticipating a re-opening date of August 4, 2020.

As we all know, with the new changes, comes new procedures. We have put in place the following recommendations to ensure the utmost safety of our staff and members. Below are the guidelines and protocols all members must follow.

New Member Guidelines and Protocols

  1. Mandatory class registration using Zen Planner mobile app.
  2. Mandatory mask wearing when entering and exiting the facility (excluding during class) .
    • Please arrive wearing a mask that covers both your mouth and nose. You May take it off during your workout, but are expected to wear it at the completion of your workout, and, upon leaving the facility.
    • All Staff will wear face masks, and disposable gloves/protective eyewear.
  3. Enter through the front, exit through the back
    • The front entrance door will be kept open (weather permitting) during operating hours to assist with ventilation. Members are to enter through the front, and, exit at the back of the gym.
    • Members are to ensure they sign in upon arrival with the front counter staff
  4. Avoid touching your face, nose, mouth, eyes.
  5. Come changed and bring your own equipment.
    • No change room access (come in prepared).
    • Members are expected to arrive ready to train. (i.e. dressed in proper training attire, hand wraps on, gloves and skipping rope in bag, etc).
    • Equipment sharing is not allowed.
    • Bring in filled water bottles.
    • Please ensure your training gear is clean prior to your arrival, incl handwraps, towel etc.
  6. Wipe down your equipment/area.
    • Hand sanitizers and cleaning stations will be provided for members to wipe down station areas after use.
    • Follow the cleaning instructions before you leave a station, and, when moving to a new station.
    • All paper towel and wiping materials Are to be thrown into the trash bin provided.
  7. Bring indoor shoes.
    • There will be an area for members to change into their indoor shoes at the front.
    • Leave your outside shoes in the designated area.
  8. Mandatory mask wearing for personal training.
    • Focus Pad or similar work can be considered “Personal Training” and as such:
      • Physical distancing need not occur.
      • All involved persons should wear a facemask (covering the mouth and nose) when closer than 2m.
      • Pads will be disinfected/sanitized between athletes.
  9. Bring a towel.
    • Use your clean towel to wipe your face and body as needed;
  10. Sanitize your hand when you enter/exit the gym.
    • Use hand sanitizer often and consider disposable gloves and protective eyewear, if, and when appropriate
    • Consider bringing your own sanitizer and cleaning wipes.

Important Medical Information

Please adhere to the following:

  • Stay home if you have any covid related symptoms (cough, fever, shortness of breath, chest pain etc);
  • You will be required to commit to the following: – No cough and/or fever in the past 72 hours,
  • In the past 14 days, you have not been around anyone exhibiting these, or, other covid related symptoms,
  • In the past 14 days you have not been around anyone who was diagnosed with covid-19;

Other Class/Member Info

  • We will be practicing social distancing, so please ensure you are not within 2 meters from another member. There will be marked areas on the flooring where participants are to train to comply with the 2 meter rule.
  • At this time training times will be scheduled for 40 minutes only to allow staff enough time to clean the areas and prepare for the next session.
  • Parents/guardians are requested to wait outside the building, or, return at the end of the members session.
  • Be punctual and only come to the gym at your designated time.
  • Follow the instructions of your coach.

Zen Planner Class Registration Process

All members are required to register for classed they wish to attend ahead of the class start time using the Zen Planner mobile app or website. Please note that you cannot reserve a class until 24 hours before that class is set to start. This is to ensure that all members have an equal opportunity to attend a class.

  1. Check your email for login information
    • On Friday July 31st around 12pm an email was sent out to all members
    • The subject for this email is “Grant MMA Gym – Your website login information”
    • This email contains instructions for how to use the Zen Planner app including a username and temporary password
    • If you are having difficulty logging in, please email info@grantmma.ca or markos@grantmma.ca for assistance
  2. Download the app or visit the website
  3. Login
    • If you are having difficulty logging in, please email info@grantmma.ca or markos@grantmma.ca for assistance
  4. Use the calendar in the app to navigate to the day you would like to register for your class
    • Classes are running starting on August 4, 2020
    • There will be 3 class each day
      • Boxing: 5:00 – 5:40 pm Monday – Friday
      • Boxing: 6:00 – 6:40 pm Monday – Friday
      • Muay Thai: 7:00 – 7:40 pm Monday – Friday
  5. Select the class and click “RESERVE”.
    1. Please note that you cannot reserve a class until 24 hours before that class is set to start. This is to ensure that all members have an equal opportunity to attend a class.
  6. Show up to class early and follow the new gym protocols and guidelines.

New Kids Classes

We’re delighted to launch new classes for children aged 4 to 10.

  • Tuesdays 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM
  • Thursdays 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM
  • Saturdays 10 AM – 11 AM
